Wings Agree to Terms with Ferrer and Hoxie for 2012-2013 Season Pending MISL Approval

WICHITA, KS - The Wichita Wings Indoor Soccer team continues to build their roster this offseason by bringing in experienced players to gear up for a MISL Championship run. Miguel Ferrer and Andrew Hoxie have agreed to personal terms to join the Wings this season, however the additions are pending league approval. Second year Head Coach, LeBaron Hollimon, focuses on adding experience and goal scoring ability to the Wings lineup, “As we move into our second year, experience is something we have targeted and Andrew and Miguel are both experienced yet young talented indoor professionals.”

Miguel Ferrer spent last season with the Norfolk Sharx, formerly of the MISL. Ferrer was the Sharx leading scorer with 7 three point goals and 11 two point goals. Ferrer will be a key addition to this year’s Wings team creating another scoring threat to supplement the Wings offensive attack. Ferrer signed with the Charlotte Eagles (USL PRO) in 2010 after finishing his college career at the University of North Carolina at Penbroke.

Andrew Hoxie is yet another goal scoring threat. Last year Hoxie was a key player for the Rochester Lancers (MISL) as he scored 16 2-point goals combined with 13 assists. Before his time with the Lancers, Hoxie played 2 stand-out seasons for the Rochester Rhinos (USL PRO) leading the team in scoring for 2011. In his college career, Hoxie excelled at The College of William and Mary where he was selected as the 2009 CAA Player of the Year.

Both player acquisitions are pending MISL approval before officially joining the Wichita Wings roster for 2012-2013.
